The largest Gujarati language food creator is Nehas Cook Book, with 2.79 million YouTube subscribers and 1.19 million Instagram followers as of 29 July 2026. Sheetal's Kitchen is second at 1.72 million subscribers, followed by Shreejifood at 1.41 million, Aru'z Kitchen at 1.4 million and Food se Fitness Gujarati at 1.36 million. The best known name on the list is the smallest: Gujju Ben na Nasta, run by Urmila Asher, has 391 thousand subscribers, a MasterChef India 2023 top sixteen finish and a place on the Forbes 50 Over 50 list for 2025.
Gujarati cuisine is not one cuisine. A Kathiawadi kitchen in Bhavnagar and a Surti kitchen in a lane behind Chowk Bazaar are cooking two different sets of dishes with two different tempers, and neither of them is doing what an Amdavadi household does on a Sunday. That difference used to live in families and never left them. It now lives on YouTube, in Gujarati, filmed on a phone propped against a masala dabba, and the eighteen creators on this page are the ones teaching it.
This is a research page, not a roundup. Every subscriber count, lifetime view total, video count and channel start date below was read directly off the creator's own YouTube page on 29 July 2026. Every Instagram follower count came from a live scrape of the profile on the same day. Every account was matched to its channel through a bio, a link, or both, and every channel had its six most recent uploads checked to confirm it publishes in Gujarati. Three channels with more than seven hundred thousand subscribers failed that last test and are not here.

How this list was built
Candidates were assembled by running YouTube channel search across fourteen Gujarati food queries, in both English transliteration and Gujarati script, covering regional cuisines, farsan, mithai, fasting food, millets and street food. Three filters were then applied. First, a language and cuisine gate: the six most recent uploads had to carry Gujarati titles and the catalogue had to be built around Gujarati and Indian home cooking rather than generic content. That gate removed Viraj Naik Recipes at 1.09 million subscribers and Dharmis Kitchen at 963 thousand, both run from Gujarat but publishing in Hindi, and it removed Viwa Food World at 4.49 million, a Gujarati run food challenge channel whose recent titles are entirely in English and are about Domino's, Blinkit and the Delhi to Mumbai expressway rather than about Gujarati food. Swad Institute at 736 thousand was removed for the same reason, a Gujarat based cooking academy publishing largely in Hindi. Second, a data gate: subscriber count, lifetime views, video count and join date had to come from the channel's own about page, never from a third party estimate. Third, an identity gate: each creator needed an Instagram account confirmed by a live Apify scrape whose bio, display name or external link tied it back to the same YouTube channel. A name match on an empty bio was rejected outright, which is why FOOD Ganesha at 541 thousand subscribers and FOOD COUTURE by Chetna Patel at 809 thousand are absent, along with Gujarati Rasoi at 199 thousand, Ame Gujarati Recipes at 220 thousand and Chulo Kathiyawadi. Tarla Dalal, the most famous Gujarati food writer who ever lived, is deliberately not an entry: her work was published in English and she died in 2013, so she fails the language gate this page applies to everyone. Two gaps are worth stating plainly. No Kutchi cuisine channel cleared both the scale and the verification bar, and no Gujarati restaurant reviewer did either, because the biggest ones caption in Hindi or English.
The million subscriber kitchens
Five Gujarati food channels have crossed a million subscribers, and not one of them is a studio production. They are home kitchens with a tripod. What separates them from the thousands of Gujarati recipe channels below them is not budget, it is publishing discipline: they have all been uploading for six years or more without a gap.
1Nehas Cook Book
Nehas Cook Book is the biggest thing in Gujarati food on the internet and it took less than seven years. The Gujarati channel opened on 22 September 2019 and has posted 1,464 videos that have been watched 927 million times, which works out at roughly 633 thousand views for every single recipe. To see how unusual that is, look at Neha Parekh's older English language channel, opened in March 2018, which sits at 18.3 thousand subscribers. Same cook, same kitchen, same skill. The only variable she changed was the language, and the audience went up by a factor of more than a hundred and fifty.
The catalogue is unapologetically domestic. Instant kopra pak from three ingredients. Fulwadi with the kandoi's own no fail tips. Moong dal pudla. A masala toast sandwich for ten rupees. On Instagram she pushes the same recipes to 1.19 million followers with a caption block that ends, every time, with links to her own website, her Facebook page and the YouTube channel. She is not building an Instagram audience. She is building a funnel into property she owns, and the recipe app she gives away free is the last step of it.

2Sheetal's Kitchen
Sheetal has posted 2,450 videos since April 2018, a thousand more than Nehas Cook Book, for 612 million views. Her register is the working kitchen rather than the demonstration kitchen. Handvo and dhokla flour ground in a mixer with the measurements given. Jowar sukhadi for the monsoon. Farali muthiya for Agiyaras. Khasta samosa with the pastry problem actually explained rather than skipped. Her Instagram bio names the Gujarati channel and its subscriber count outright, which is how the account was tied to the channel.
Her account also carries the single most useful data point in this entire category. Her Gujarati captioned reel for kanda dal na samosa pulled 492 thousand plays and 8,858 likes. Her English captioned peri peri paneer slider pulled 81 thousand plays and 1,929 likes. Same account, same week, six times the reach for the recipe written in the language of the people who actually cook it. Every Gujarati creator who has been advised to switch to English for reach should sit with those two numbers for a minute.

3Shreejifood
Shreejifood is the oldest of the million subscriber Gujarati food channels, live since December 2016, and it is run by Manisha Thakkar. The channel description is written half in English and half in Gujarati script, promising ghareloo and saral Gujarati vangi, homely and simple Gujarati dishes, and that is exactly the shelf it stocks: farsan, snacks, sweets and easy home cooking across 1,835 videos and 279 million views.
What makes the recent output interesting is its structure. Instead of teaching a dish, several of her biggest uploads teach a mistake. One is titled with the claim that ninety nine percent of people get dal vada wrong. Another lists the five errors people make with gota and promises perfect gota forever afterwards. That is a smarter format than the standard recipe video, because it gives a viewer who already knows the dish a reason to click. Her Instagram is deliberately small at 14.8 thousand followers and exists mainly to point at the channel, which the bio does directly.
Instagram: @shreejifood (verified 2026-07-29).
4Aru'z Kitchen
Arunaben Pitambarpuri Goswami introduces herself in her own channel description in Gujarati, says she is from Surat, and welcomes you in. Aru'z Kitchen opened on 23 May 2020, in the middle of the first lockdown, and has since put up 2,774 videos for 376 million views. That is the highest upload count of any million subscriber Gujarati food channel on this page and it averages more than one video a day for six years.
The naming convention on her uploads is a small masterclass in Gujarati search. Every title carries the dish in transliteration, then the same dish in Gujarati script, then the channel name, then the category word: Gujarati Recipe, Nashto, Masalo. Kakdi Vali Idli. Ghau Na Lot Na Bhajiya. Palak Na Muthiya. A Gujarati speaker typing either script finds her, and so does an aunt in Leicester who can only spell it the English way. Her Instagram bio does nothing but state the subscriber counts of her Gujarati and Hindi channels, which is how the account was confirmed.
Instagram: @aruzkitchen (verified 2026-07-29).
5Food se Fitness Gujarati
The name promises a health angle and the catalogue quietly ignores it. Food se Fitness Gujarati publishes rajwadi bhajiya, lachko mohanthal, Surti locho, mini patra and bataka ni wafer, which is to say it publishes the food Gujaratis actually want in the monsoon. 2,336 videos since March 2019, 414 million views, an average of 177 thousand views per upload, and a run of recent titles built entirely around the rainy season.
It is the most brand shaped operation in this group. The Instagram bio calls the account a food creator with a million plus subscriber base and displays the YouTube Gold Play Button as a credential. The channel takes collaboration mail at a team address rather than a personal one. Several recipes are built around a named mixer grinder. This is a Gujarati recipe channel run like a small media company, and it is the clearest sign that Gujarati food content has become a category advertisers can buy into rather than a hobby.
Instagram: @foodsefitness_gujarati (verified 2026-07-29).
Kathiawad and Saurashtra
Kathiawadi food is the loudest regional cuisine in Gujarat and the hardest to fake. Garlic, red chilli, bajra, sesame, and shaak cooked until the oil separates. The three creators here are all working inside that grammar, and two of them are doing it from Bhavnagar and Jamnagar rather than from a city studio.
6Rasoi Thi Gujarati Recipes
185 videos. That is the whole channel, and those 185 videos have collected 64.4 million views, which is 348 thousand views per upload and the highest per video figure of any Gujarati food channel on this page apart from Nehas Cook Book. Rasoi Thi does not farm the algorithm. It publishes rarely, in Gujarati, with Nikunj Vasoya presenting, and lets each recipe sit and earn.
The subject matter is the reason it works. Kali ni bhaji. Jangli bhaji. Panchratna dal. Kadhi khichdi with the method spelled out. These are not the famous Gujarati dishes that every channel already covers, they are the ones a Saurashtra household actually eats and nobody had bothered to film properly. The channel also travels, with an episode from a Jamnagar restaurant and another from the Rann Utsav in Kutch. Its Instagram bio, written entirely in Gujarati, credits both Vasoya and the Foodon TV Network, which is how the account was tied back to the channel.
Instagram: @rasoithigujaratirecipes (verified 2026-07-29).
7Kathiyawadi Swad
Kathiyawadi Swad describes its own remit in a single sentence: the best food recipes from Kathiawad, plus dishes from everywhere else given a Kathiawadi touch. That second half is the honest part, and it is what 1,286 uploads since November 2019 actually deliver. Dudhi na dhokla nu shaak. Bharel marcha na bhajiya. Bhinda nu navu shaak with the masala a wedding kitchen would use. Jowar and kaakadiya shaak done in a new style. 99.2 million views.
The channel is run by Bhavanaben Rathod, whose Instagram account is small at 3.7 thousand followers and describes her plainly as a chef and food vlogger with the YouTube channel linked underneath. That gap between 422 thousand subscribers and 3.7 thousand followers is the standard shape for Gujarati recipe creators outside the top five, and it tells you something real: a Kathiawadi shaak needs eleven minutes and a pot, not eleven seconds and a hook, so the audience lives where the runtime is.
Instagram: @kathiyawadiswad (verified 2026-07-29).
8Real Kathiyawadi Taste
Gopal Beladiya writes his channel description entirely in Gujarati and signs it with his own name. The stated purpose is to put Kathiawadi dishes and Kathiawadi cooking forward, and viewers are invited to request a dish. The catalogue keeps that promise with recipes most channels would consider too small to film: sudiya nu shaak, which only exists in the monsoon, the correct way to temper dal khakhra, desi mava na penda, and one video in which he prepares sev khaman bhusu for 350 children.
He is the clearest example on this page of Instagram and YouTube pulling in opposite directions. The channel has 101 thousand subscribers. The Instagram account, verified and run from Bhavnagar with Surat, Ahmedabad and Rajkot listed alongside it, has 182 thousand followers, and a single reel showing the full method for jalidar khaman took 7.79 million plays and 102 thousand likes. A batata tikdi bhajiya reel from the previous monsoon took 4.86 million. The long recipes live on YouTube and the fried ones fly on Instagram, and he works both.

Surat and the southern kitchens
Surti food is the sweet, buttery, slightly showy cousin of Kathiawadi food, and Surat has always cared more about eating than about anywhere else in Gujarat caring that it cares. Two creators here work that seam explicitly.
9Gujarati Zayka
The channel description opens with a confession that most creators would edit out. Yes, I am from Surat. I am not a professional chef. What follows is a promise of basic homemade vegetarian food in Surti style, and 1,234 videos since April 2018 have kept it. The recent run is almost entirely fasting food and monsoon food: khajur pak made without sugar, farali cookies made without baking powder or soda, green moong pulav in the style of a street cart, spicy gughra, sweet corn bhel, mewa sukhdi.
That fasting cluster is worth noticing because it is a genuinely Gujarati content calendar. Shravan, Agiyaras and vrat days generate more Gujarati recipe searches than any festival except Diwali, and a channel that publishes farali recipes on the right week does not need a hook. Her Instagram is tiny at 7 thousand followers and its bio does one job, pointing at a three hundred thousand strong YouTube family, which is how the account was confirmed.
Instagram: @gujaratizayka (verified 2026-07-29).
10Surati Rasodu
Surati Rasodu is the newest channel on this page and the strangest set of numbers on it. It opened on 15 February 2025. In the time since, 84 videos have been watched 18.3 million times, which is 218 thousand views per upload, higher than every channel here except Nehas Cook Book and Rasoi Thi. Against that, only 16.3 thousand people have subscribed. Almost nobody who watches this channel bothers to follow it.
That is what a shorts driven catalogue looks like from the inside, and the titles confirm it: bharela bhinda nu shaak in five minutes, bateta bhungla in five minutes, guvar dhokli, vagharela bhat done the original household way. The Instagram account carries 24.1 thousand followers, describes the work as Gujarati fun recipes and food with tadko, and states that it is handled by the same person whose email address sits on the YouTube about page as the paid promotion contact. Two independent surfaces, one operator, which is how it was verified.
Instagram: @surati_rasodu (verified 2026-07-29).
Farsan, mithai and the weekday kitchen
Farsan is the load bearing wall of Gujarati food. Dhokla, khaman, patra, muthiya, gota, sev khamani: snacks that are also meals, that keep, that travel, and that a Gujarati household expects to have in the house. The four creators here have built entire careers inside it.
11Dimple's Dishes
Dimple Ajmera has been publishing since April 2017 and has 2,057 videos and 194 million views to show for it. Her Instagram bio is written in Gujarati and states her thesis directly: a good diet keeps many illnesses away, so she shares recipes along with the properties of what is in them. That is not a wellness pitch borrowed from English language food media. It is the way a Gujarati grandmother argues, and it is why her titles read the way they do.
Look at the recent uploads and the pattern is unmistakable. Ladoos for Gauri Vrat and Jaya Parvati Vrat. Traditional khatta dhokla made softer. Leftover khichdi turned into a breakfast that beats dhokla and thepla. Alsi, til and ragi laddu offered for joint pain rather than for taste. She is running a functional food channel in Gujarati without ever using the phrase, and 687 thousand people have signed up for it. Her Instagram is modest at 41.5 thousand followers and links straight back to the channel.
Instagram: @dimplesdishes (verified 2026-07-29).
12Rupal's Tasty Treats
Rupal Vaghela started in March 2021 and has reached 417 thousand subscribers and 146 million views from only 910 videos, an average of 161 thousand views per upload. Her Instagram account is verified and carries 215 thousand followers, roughly half her subscriber base, which is one of the healthier cross platform ratios in Gujarati food. The bio is four words long and says nothing except the name of the YouTube channel.
The catalogue is farsan first and then everything else. Magaj ni ladudi described as winning hearts on contact. Traditional dal vada. Muthiya made from leftover rice, framed as the thing that will get made once a week whether you planned it or not. Batata poha kept soft for hours by cooking it in a pressure cooker. And then, without warning, pita bread with falafel and hummus made on a tawa, and Maharashtrian misal pav with goda masala. That is the actual shape of a modern Gujarati kitchen, and she films it honestly instead of pretending the household only eats thepla.
Instagram: @rupals_tastytreats (verified 2026-07-29).
13Trusha's Taste Gujarati
Trusha Parsaniya writes her video titles as conversation rather than as keywords, and it is the most distinctive voice in this section. One title says that when she cannot think what to make for dinner she falls back on this recipe, which takes one spoon of oil. Another says everyone who ate it told her it came out tastier than the shop version, so make it and make everyone happy. A third asks whether you also make tikdi bhajiya this way when it rains. There is a person in those sentences.
The catalogue behind them is low oil everyday Gujarati cooking, 974 videos since March 2021 for 41.9 million views, with farali mithai for fasting days and dudhi recipes that keep coming back. She also runs a Hindi channel and a separate storytelling channel, which is the standard three way split for a Gujarati creator who has saturated her first language. Her Instagram carries 57 thousand followers and links to the Gujarati channel from the bio.
Instagram: @trushas_taste_gujarati (verified 2026-07-29).
14Neel's Kitchen Gujarati
Neel's Kitchen is the smallest subscriber count in this section and it earns its place on a ratio. 763 videos since November 2022 have been watched 17.4 million times, which is 22.8 thousand views per upload against a subscriber base of only 32.6 thousand. In plain terms, this channel is watched by roughly seventeen times more people than have committed to it, which is what happens when a catalogue is built for search rather than for a following.
The channel describes itself as simple, easy and authentic Indian recipes and the Instagram account puts it better in three words: food that feels home. That account has fourteen followers. It exists, it links to the channel, it names the subscriber count, and it is the only reason this entry cleared the verification bar. It is included here as an honest illustration of the long tail: for every Gujarati food creator with a verified badge there are hundreds doing real work with a dead social account and an audience that only ever meets them through a search box.
Instagram: @neelskitchengujarati (verified 2026-07-29).
The specialists
Four creators who did not build a general Gujarati recipe channel and instead took one narrow thing and went deep: traditional snacks, Jain cooking, indigenous grains, and the millet kitchen. Between them they cover the parts of Gujarati food that a general channel skips.
15Gujju Ben na Nasta
Urmila Asher makes fafda, chorafali with lasaniya aloo, moong dal dhokla, poha cutlet and sabudana vada for fasting days, filmed the way a grandmother would make them because that is what she is. 384 videos since April 2021 and 29.4 million views, which is the smallest catalogue and the smallest view total in this entire list. She is also, by a distance, the most decorated person on it.
Her verified Instagram bio carries the credentials that a subscriber count would never surface: top sixteen finalist on MasterChef India in 2023, TEDx speaker at AIIMS Patna, a place on the Forbes 50 Over 50 list for 2025, and the line she is best known for, YouTuber at 78. The account is managed by an agency. The most engaged thing on it is not a recipe at all, it is a long English tribute to her grandmother that reads like an essay. This entry is the argument against ranking food creators purely by reach, and it sits inside a page that ranks food creators by reach, which is exactly why it is worth reading twice.
Instagram: @gujjubennanasta (verified 2026-07-29).
16Food Mantra by Surbhi Vasa
Surbhi Vasa is the only trained professional on this page whose day job is visible from her profile. Her Instagram bio lists four roles at once: founder of a food venture, Jain recipe specialist, cooking expert on the television programme Rasoi Show, and restaurant consultant. Then, at the end, YouTuber. That ordering is the point. Everyone else here built the channel first and the career after. She already had the career.
The channel carries 1,208 videos since September 2020 for 39.6 million views, and the recent run is pure Gujarati monsoon: methi na gota with the secret to the khiru, white dhokla whipped up in five minutes, sukhdi in ten, ragda puri chaat, and a video that ends the need to buy handvo flour from a shop. Jain cooking is a genuinely underserved category in Gujarati, because the constraint of no onion, no garlic and no root vegetables rewrites almost every recipe, and she is the largest verified creator working inside it in the language.
Instagram: @chef_surbhivasa (verified 2026-07-29).
17Unsullied Foods Gujarati
Mita states her mission in her own Instagram bio: she teaches and digs deeper into indigenous Gujarati food. The channel started in September 2017 when nobody was using that phrase, and 797 videos have since drawn 51 million views. The recent uploads are jowar and methi thepla thin enough not to break while rolling, bhakri turned into a pizza base, instant corn dhokla, poha chevdo made cleaner than the shop version, and kodo millet khichdi framed for diabetes and weight loss.
That last one is the tell. Millets became a national talking point during and after the International Year of Millets, and every English language food channel in India rushed at them. Mita had been filming bajra, jowar and kodo in Gujarati for years before that, because in Gujarat those grains never left the kitchen in the first place. Her Instagram account has 818 followers and does nothing except link to the channel. The reach is on YouTube. The archive is the asset.
Instagram: @unsulliedfoods (verified 2026-07-29).
18Gannu's Kitchen
Sheetal Kachhadiya has posted 3,091 videos since January 2021, the highest upload count on this entire page, which averages out at nearly two videos every day for five and a half years. Those uploads have produced 50.6 million views. The subscriber count of 120 thousand is modest against that volume, and her Instagram following of 194 thousand is larger than her YouTube audience, which is unusual for a recipe creator and tells you the work is being consumed in short form.
The specialism is millet and coarse grain cooking treated as ordinary rather than as a health trend. Jowar and makai khichu in five minutes with less oil. Jowar vegetable sev roll offered as a replacement for a spring roll. Gluten free jowar pizza. Gluten free jowar Karachi biscuits. Makai roti that puffs. She runs a parallel Hindi channel and names both in her description. What she is really doing is porting the grains of a Saurashtra village kitchen into the formats a city family will actually cook, which is a harder job than it sounds and a more useful one than most food content attempts.

What the numbers say
Largest Gujarati language food channels by YouTube subscribers, captured 29 July 2026
Every subscriber figure here was read off the channel's own YouTube about page on 29 July 2026 and is shown at the precision YouTube itself displays, which rounds to three significant figures. Subscriber counts move daily, so treat this as a snapshot of that date rather than a permanent ranking. Channels that publish in Hindi rather than Gujarati were excluded before the chart was built, including three with more than seven hundred thousand subscribers, and channels that could not be matched to a confirmed Instagram account were excluded as well.
Questions people actually ask
Who is the biggest Gujarati food YouTuber?
Nehas Cook Book, run by Neha Parekh, with 2.79 million subscribers, 927 million lifetime views and 1,464 videos as of 29 July 2026. She also has 1.19 million Instagram followers and runs her own recipe website and a free recipe app. Sheetal's Kitchen is second at 1.72 million subscribers.
Does publishing in Gujarati actually get more views than publishing in English?
On the evidence here, yes, and by a lot. Sheetal's Kitchen posted a Gujarati captioned reel for kanda dal na samosa that pulled 492 thousand plays and an English captioned peri peri paneer slider that pulled 81 thousand, same account, same week, six times the reach in the mother tongue. Neha Parekh's English language channel sits at 18.3 thousand subscribers while her Gujarati channel sits at 2.79 million, same cook and same kitchen.
Which Gujarati creators cover Kathiawadi and Surti food specifically?
For Kathiawadi cooking, Kathiyawadi Swad at 422 thousand subscribers, Real Kathiyawadi Taste by Gopal Beladiya at 101 thousand, and Rasoi Thi Gujarati Recipes at 442 thousand, which covers Saurashtra dishes such as kali ni bhaji and panchratna dal. For Surti cooking, Gujarati Zayka at 351 thousand and Surati Rasodu at 16.3 thousand, plus Aru'z Kitchen at 1.4 million, whose presenter opens her channel description by saying she is from Surat.
How current are these subscriber and follower numbers?
All of them were captured on 29 July 2026. YouTube figures were read directly off each channel's own about page and Instagram figures came from a live scrape of each profile on the same day. Nothing here was taken from an analytics blog or a third party estimate. Both platforms round large numbers and both change every day, so expect drift and treat the ranking as accurate for that date.
Why are some large Gujarat based food channels missing from this list?
Two reasons, and both were applied on 29 July 2026. Several big channels run by Gujaratis publish in Hindi rather than Gujarati, including Viraj Naik Recipes at 1.09 million subscribers, Dharmis Kitchen at 963 thousand and Swad Institute at 736 thousand, and Viwa Food World at 4.49 million publishes English titled food challenges rather than Gujarati cooking. Others could not be matched to a confirmed Instagram account, including FOOD COUTURE by Chetna Patel at 809 thousand and FOOD Ganesha at 541 thousand, where the only accounts found were empty bio name matches, which this page does not accept as verification.
